India lose to Iraq in first qualifying match of AFC Under 20 Asian Cup

The Indian football team defeated Iraq in the Group H qualifiers in the AFC Under 20 Championship. Lost by 4. Abdul Razzaq Qasim scored the first goal of the match for Iraq in the second minute. Gurkeerat Singh and Tyson Singh created chances for India but could not score. Gurkeerat scored the equalizer in the 22nd minute. He also played the role of the architect of Mahisan Singh’s goal in the 33rd minute.

India had taken the lead till half time but the dice got turned in the second half. Haider Tofi scored the equalizer and Sadiq Shaheen gave Iraq the lead. Iraq scored 4 in the 71st minute. 2 when the ball went inside goal due to a deflection from Vikas Yumnam on Azad Kaluri’s cross. India will face Australia on Sunday.
