Indian cricketer unhappy with not getting hot food after practice in T20 Worldcup

Sydney. The Indian team is working hard to win the T20 Cricket World Cup in Australia. In this episode, when the Indian cricket team reached for food after practice on Tuesday, the team was not happy with the arrangement of food available. Bad food was served to the players which made them look unhappy and dissatisfied.
Some of the team members decided to have lunch after returning to the hotel. According to the information, the post-practice meal arrangement is almost the same for all the teams and the Indian players are not being given hot food which is necessary after a rigorous training session according to BCCI sources.
The Indian team had an optional training session on Tuesday for which all the fast bowlers were rested along with all-rounder Hardik Pandya, batsman Suryakumar Yadav and spinner Axar Patel. Turns out that post-practice meals consisted of sandwiches with fruit and falafel (very common in this part of the world). The training session ended at around noon which was lunch time and players probably expected a full meal.
An official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with knowledge of the matter said on the condition of anonymity that it does not amount to any kind of boycott. Some players took fruits and falafel but everyone wanted to have lunch and so they went back to the hotel and ate. He said that the problem is that the ICC (International Cricket Council) is not providing hot food after training.
In bilateral series, the host association looks after the catering and they always provide hot Indian food after the training session but for ICC, the rules are same for all the countries. After two hours of training, you cannot eat a cold sandwich (not even grill) with avocado, tomato and cucumber, the official said. In simple words it is inadequate nutrition. It will be interesting if BCCI takes some step and arranges hot Indian food for the upcoming training sessions.
Complaint made to ICC
Now a complaint has also been made to the ICC in this matter. The ICC has been informed that the food given to the Indian team after the practice in Sydney was cold and not good. The venue for the Indian team’s practice is also disturbing. The Indian team has been given a place 42 km away from the hotel for practice.
