IndvsSL T20 Series: India’s defeat in the second T20, Akshay Surya’s innings turned water, the series was equal

In the second match of the T20 series between India and Sri Lanka, India has lost by 16 runs, after which the series has come to a level of 1-1. In the second match played at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune, Sri Lanka, batting first, scored an innings of 206 runs at the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Thanks to the half-century innings of Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka and Kusal Mendis, the Sri Lankan team was able to post a strong score.
 
In response, once again Suryakumar Yadav and Akshar Patel played a smoking half-century innings for the Indian team who came on the field to score runs. But even after the strong innings of both, the Indian team could not chase the run and could score only 190 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Actually the Indian team got a very poor start.
 
Indian team lost three wickets very cheaply in the first three overs. After the dismissal of opening pair Ishaan Kishan (2) and Shubman Gill (5), Rahul Tripathi (5) returned to the pavilion on the score of runs. Captain Hardik Pandya scored 12 runs in 12 balls but was dismissed. Deepak Hooda, who scored in the first match, could not do anything special and returned to the pavilion after scoring just 9 runs. After this, T20’s King Suryakumar Yadav and Akshar Patel came on the field to handle the innings. Both of them scored quick half-centuries while handling the Indian innings.
 
Along with strengthening India’s innings, Suryakumar Yadav lost his wicket at the score of 51 runs. India needed 21 runs in the last over but the Indian team managed to make only four runs in the last over.
 
Sri Lanka’s innings was like this
While batting first, Sri Lankan team captain Dasun Shanaka played a half-century innings of 56 runs in 22 balls with the help of six sixes and two fours. Together with him, Sri Lanka’s innings was taken by Chamika Karunaratne to cross 200 on Sri Lanka’s score by playing a blistering partnership of 68 runs in just four overs.
 
Umran Malik shines again among Indian bowlers
Among the Indian bowlers, Umran Malik again proved to be successful in this match. Umran Malik took three wickets for 48 runs. Akshar Patel took two wickets for 24 runs. Shivam Mavi did not do very well in this match and he took 53 runs in four overs and Arshdeep Singh took 37 runs in two overs.
