International Golf Series: Chaurasia top Indian in Muscat, title to Kanaya
Musket. SSP Chaurasia made a good start to his 2023 international season by finishing tied-30th among Indian golfers at the USD 2 million International Golf Series here. Chawrasia shot 75, 71, 72 and 73 to finish tied-30th with Rashid Khan. Rashid, a two-time winner on the Asian Tour, posted scores of 70, 77, 70 and 74. Japan’s talented Takumi Kanaya won his first professional title outside the country. He shot a one-under 71 in the final round for a total of 10-under.

The 24-year-old Kanaya of Japan beat Barry Henson (70) of America and Sedam Keewkanjana of Thailand by four shots. Among other Indians, Shiv Kapur (75) and Jyoti Randhawa (76) finished tied-43rd while Gaganjit Bhullar finished tied-53rd. S Chikkarangappa (76) finished tied-64th and Honey Baisoya (71) finished tied-77th.
