Cristia defeats Sabalenka in Miami
Sorena Kristia stormed into the semi-finals of a WTA 1000 tennis event for the first time in a decade after defeating Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets at the Miami Open. Cristia defeated second seed Sabaleka 6-4, 6-4. Sabalenka is the top-ranked player who has been beaten by Krystia. Cristia had earlier this month defeated No. 4 seed Caroline Garcia in Indian Wells and then upset Garcia in the second round in Miami.
