Officials gave this information. He said that a fire broke out in the forest area of ​​Charrat Panchayat on Tuesday night and started moving rapidly towards Banth village.

A Northern Command Defense Unit spokesman said that on the request of the civil administration, the Udhampur Military Garrison along with rapid response teams sent fire tenders and Defense Fire Services (DFS) firefighters and brought the fire under control. He said, the fire has now been brought under control.

Close contact and coordination between the civil administration and the army and the courage and brave efforts of the soldiers on the ground averted a major calamity on the villagers. The spokesman said that the Northern Command is always committed to the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
