Life Certificate Submission 2021: As the last date for submission of life certificate this year, pensioners should know that their pension will stop from December if they do not complete the process within the stipulated time. Pensioners get their dues from Pension Disbursing Authorities (PDAs) like banks, post offices and others. To continue this, they have to submit life certificate or life certificate to these agencies by November every year, as proof that they are still alive. This year also, pensioners will have to submit their Jeevan Pramaan for the same purpose to the PDA by November 30. They can also distribute litigation documents on the formats prescribed by the central government. (life certificate)

Insurance companies also use to obtain certificates
Traditionally, pensioners have to visit a bank branch or post office to complete the life certificate submission process. However, the rule of being physically present to obtain a life certificate becomes a problem for many older people, for which the center has come up with Digital Jeevan Pramaan or Jeevan Pramaan where the entire process is done digitally. Pension sanctioning agencies like Railways, EPFO, State or Central pensioner governments and RBI, if included in Jeevan Pramaan, are eligible to obtain a digital certificate. Additionally, insurance companies can also be used to obtain these certificates. The list of officers can be seen on the Jeevan Pramaan website.
