Governors Cup Golf Tournament concludes at Nainital Raj Bhavan

The three-day 18th ‘Governor’s Cup Golf Tournament-2023’ organized by Raj Bhavan Golf Club Nainital from May 19 concluded on Sunday. 125 golfers from different parts of the country participated in the tournament. According to a press release issued from Raj Bhavan Nainital, the overall winner of the tournament was Dinesh Panwar while the runner-up was Ashish Jain. The winner of Best Net was Vishal Bansal and the runner up was Group Captain Vivek Rawat. Three golfers – TP Singh, Vikas Tandon and Raghav Karla – won the Hole in One title for the first time in the tournament. Medhansh S Bisht was awarded the most promising golfer.

After distributing prizes in various categories, Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Seni) congratulated the winners and said that the golfers and their families from different parts of the country are true brand ambassadors of Uttarakhand tourism. He hoped that after returning to their homes from Nainital, they would tell more people about the natural beauty and hospitality of Uttarakhand and inspire them to come here. He said that one of the important objectives of this golf competition is to promote tourism of Uttarakhand including Nainital.
