Karnataka icon on Amazon goods spark row

After a column over the Canadian wing of web based business firm Amazon supposedly selling swimsuits with the Karnataka State symbol and Kannada banner tones, Kannada and Culture Minister Aravind Limbavali has compromised legitimate activity against the organization.

“Kannada language and culture both have millennia of history. Worldwide organizations that are absolutely ignorant of the significance of Kannada culture are offending it. I unequivocally denounce any demonstration of such slurring of our way of life picture,” the Minister said in a proclamation. “As Kannada and Culture serve, I discover it my obligation to make a lawful move in these cases and will guarantee that such move is made against Amazon as well,” he added.

Then, previous Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy inquired as to why organizations were untrustworthy with regards to language and feelings. “It was first Google and now Amazon. Kannadigas have shown Amazon a thing or two. Amazon ought to apologize for its demonstration,” he said.

KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar said, “Ongoing endeavors to embarrass Kannadigas utilizing Amazon and Google bring up a significant issue. Who needs to hurt Kannada pride and why? Who objects to our tough individuals, our extraordinary culture and customs? Expectation the Karnataka Government will explore.”

The two-piece is said to have been eliminated by Amazon from its Canada site, following the commotion. There was no quick remark from Amazon.
