Kohli offers prayers at Mahakaleshwar temple with wife Anushka

Cricketer Virat Kohli and his actress wife Anushka Sharma offered prayers to Lord Shiva at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain city in the early hours of Saturday. The former captain of the Indian cricket team and his wife performed ‘Bhasm Aarti’ at 4 am. The couple sat in the Nandi hall of the temple for about 30 minutes. He also performed the ‘Panchamrit Puja Abhishek’ in the sanctum sanctorum. Kohli was wearing a dhoti during this time. He wore a rudraksha beads around his neck and sandalwood paste on his head. Anushka was here dressed in a light pink saree. They spent more than an hour at the temple.

After leaving the temple, Anushka told reporters, “We came here for darshan and everything went well. Thank you.” Kohli said, “Jai Mahakal… thank you very much.” In the third match of the four-match series against India, the Indian team was defeated by nine wickets on Friday. Kohli scored 22 runs in the first innings of this match and 13 runs in the second. Mahakaleshwar Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in the country.
