Laser show and folk dance to be held in IPL matches in Guwahati
Apart from cricket, spectators will also get a chance to enjoy laser shows and folk dances when Rajasthan Royals play their Indian Premier League (IPL) home matches in Guwahati this season. The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Stadium here is one of the home grounds of the Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan will play its first match here on April 5 against Punjab Kings and will take on Delhi Capitals three days later. Devjit Saikia, joint secretary of the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI), said, “The focus will definitely be on cricket, but apart from this, cricket lovers will also get a chance to enjoy other means of entertainment on the day of the match.”
He said that a first of its kind laser show would be performed in between both the innings of the match. Apart from this, there is also a program of folk dances and live band performances before the start of the match. Saikia said, “Folk dances of Assam and Rajasthan will be organized before both the matches. A variety of bands and local singers will also perform.
