Leeds suspended another match due to coronavirus
Leeds, the team led by Marcelo Bielsa, announced this Sunday that it will not play next Tuesday’s game against Aston Villa, at home, due to the coronavirus cases reported in the squad in recent days.
After the suspension of the game that was to play this Sunday against Liverpool, as a visitor, within the framework of “Boxing Day”, the club confirmed that it received the approval of the Premier League to also postpone Tuesday’s against Aston Villa, of the Argentine Emiliano Martínez and Emiliano Buendía.
“While there were no new cases of COVID in the team, the majority of those who tested positive before the Liverpool game have not yet come out of isolation,” the Yorkshire institution reported.
Leeds’ next commitment would only be on Sunday, January 2, against Burnley, at home.
