Before the match against India, Pakistan’s batsman suffered a head injury during net practice, was taken to the hospital

Melbourne. Pakistan’s top-order batsman Shan Masood was taken to hospital for a scan after sustaining a head injury during a net session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground here on Friday. Masood got this injury from a shot from Mohammad Nawaz’s bat. Masood was waiting for his turn to practice batting in the nets and he was not even wearing a helmet at that time. Nawaz hit a high shot against the spinner during practice and the ball hit the 33-year-old’s head.
He fell on the ground moaning in pain. The team doctor treated him there. The vice-captain of the team, Shadab Khan, said that he suffered this injury in the sensitive part of the head. I don’t know his current condition, but he was feeling well after the tests done by our physio. Now, he has now gone to the hospital for a scan. We are praying for his speedy recovery.
Masood made his T20 International debut in September this year in the home series against England. He played in all seven matches of the series. He also scored two half-centuries in it but recently struggled in the tri-series against New Zealand and Bangladesh.
match against india
Pakistan will start their campaign against India in this T20 World Cup on Sunday. It is worth noting that the matches between India and Pakistan are very less and whenever there is a match between the two countries, then there is a lot of enthusiasm among the fans. This time the first match to be held on a big occasion like T20 World Cup can be a disaster, after which the fans can be quite disappointed. According to the information, there may be rain in Melbourne on 23 October. Melbourne Meteorological Department says that on this day it will rain in the morning and evening.
No reserve day facility
If this match is canceled due to Melbourne weather and rain, then it can be very difficult to have a match between the two countries. Actually, the ICC has not made any kind of reserve day for the re-organization of the match. The ICC has not kept reserve days for the first round and the Super 12. However, if the weather is favourable, fewer overs matches can be played. On the other hand, if the match is canceled then the points will be divided equally between the two teams.
