Major reshuffle in Europa League, Arsenal defeated, Manchester United reach quarter-finals

London. Premier League champions Arsenal’s hopes of winning the European title were shattered after their team suffered a penalty shootout defeat to Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League football tournament.

Lisbon won the penalty shootout 5–3 to advance to the quarter-finals. Earlier, both the teams were tied 1-1 in the regular time of the second leg match, after which the shoot-out was resorted to. The first leg match was also a 2-2 draw.
