Mamta met Modi, raised the issue of BSF

New Delhi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is on a four-day visit to Delhi, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening. In his meeting with the Prime Minister, he raised the issue of increasing the jurisdiction of the Border Security Force (BSF) and also talked about the alleged attacks on Trinamool Congress workers in Tripura. After meeting the Prime Minister, she said that she made a big political comment and said that she wants the BJP to lose in Uttar Pradesh. Mamta said that if Akhilesh Yadav wants her help to defeat the BJP, then she is ready for it.

Mamta Banerjee met Prime Minister Modi at 5 pm on Wednesday. Talking to the media after meeting Modi, he said- I discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on many issues related to the state. I also spoke to him on the issue of expansion of BSF’s jurisdiction and demanded the withdrawal of this decision. Apart from various issues of development of the state, Mamata also discussed the issue of violence in Tripura. He has alleged that Biplab Deb’s government in Tripura is violating the directions of the Supreme Court.

after meeting the prime minister Mamta said- I have met the PM regarding the issues of the state. Many times there were storms, disasters came. If the money is not available then how will the state run? On the issue of BSF, he said – talked about the federal structure. Giving more power to BSF leads to law and order issue. Many times people die due to firing in the border. Let me know if you need help from the state. The federal structure needs to be saved. He said- BSF order should be withdrawn.

Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee said- We talked about the corona vaccine. There was talk about the vaccination of adolescents aged 12 to 18 years. Talk about the jute industry. Now farmers cannot sell jute, urged the PM to end the cap that has been made. Regarding the relationship of the West Bengal government with the Center, Mamta said – there should be political differences between us and you, it should not affect development. We have invited the PM to inaugurate the Business Summit to be held in April next year, which he has accepted.

Mamta said about the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections to be held next year- We want BJP to lose in UP. If SP chief Akhilesh Yadav wants help, we are ready. On another question, Mamta Banerjee said- We want a law to be made on the minimum support price. Regarding her proposed visit to Mumbai, she said that if she goes to Mumbai on 30th, she will meet Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar.
