Kanpur | Ind VS Nz Match : The first Test between India and New Zealand played in Kanpur ended at a thrilling turn. However, no team won or lost in this match and the match ended in a draw. Rachin Ravindra and Aijaz Patel, playing their first Test for New Zealand, showed great restraint and saved the last wicket and drew the match. With this, India could not taste the victory even after reaching very close to winning the match. Let us inform that while chasing the target of 284 runs for India to win, the New Zealand team scored 165 runs for nine wickets. India had scored 345 runs in the first innings while the second innings were declared for 234 for seven. New Zealand’s team was reduced to 296 runs in the first innings.

The first season was in the name of Kiwi batsmen

Ind VS Nz Match : In the first session on the last day of the match, where the Kiwi batsmen dominated. India did not get a single wicket in this session. In the second session, India came back with three wickets. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three and four wickets respectively to ensure India’s victory. But Ravindra and Aijaz, like Angad, put their feet on the crease and dashed the host’s plans.

Last pair played 8 overs

Ind VS Nz Match : New Zealand’s ninth wicket fell in the 90th over at the score of 155. Even after this 8 overs were left to be played. Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane also put a very aggressive field but Ravindra (18) played 91 balls and Aijaz (II) played 23 balls to push the match towards a draw. India needed six wickets in the last session but India could take only 5 wickets.
