Sania Mirza joins Royal Challengers Banglore team of women’s cricket after retiring from tennis, know how will be the second innings in cricket

Bangalore. Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, who played her last Grand Slam tournament at the Australian Open last month, has been roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as their guide for the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL). In an RCB statement, Sania, who has won six Grand Slams and 43 WTA titles, said that it is a pleasure for me to join the RCB women’s team as a mentor. We have seen a significant change and I am really looking forward to be a part of this revolutionary step.

Sania said, “RCB has been a popular team in the IPL and a highly followed team over the years. I am very happy to see them making a team for the Women’s Premier League. “He said,” This will take women’s cricket to new heights in the country. Will open new doors for women cricketers and help make the sport a first career choice for young girls and young parents. Sania retired from tennis after the Australian Open earlier this year where she and her Partner Rohan Bopanna finished runner-up in the mixed doubles event.

RCB have fielded a strong squad comprising 18 players which includes some of the biggest names in women’s cricket like Smriti Mandhana, Australia’s Ellyse Perry and medium pacer Megan Schutt, New Zealand captain Sophie Devine, England captain Heather Knight, South African All-rounder Dane van Niekerk and India Under-19 star Richa Ghosh.
