PM Modi to inaugurate metro project and Bina-Panki project in Kanpur today

New Delhi | PM Modi Kanpur visit: Before the Vidhan Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, the process of giving gifts to the people of UP is continuing. In this sequence, today the Prime Minister will reach Kanpur district of UP to inaugurate the complete section of the metro rail project and the Bina-Panki multiproduct pipeline project. Along with this, PM will also address the 54th convocation of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. All the students at the convocation will be awarded digital degrees through an in-house blockchain powered technology developed at the institute under the National Blockchain Project.

Metro Rail Project – Costing more than 11,000 crores
PM Modi Kanpur visit: According to the statement issued by the PMO, PM Modi will inspect the Kanpur Metro Rail project. PM will go from IIT Metro station to Geeta Nagar in Metro. The entire length of the metro rail project in Kanpur is 32 km and is being built at a cost of over Rs 11,000 crore.

Bina-Panki multiproduct pipeline built at a cost of more than 1500 crores
The Bina-Panki multiproduct pipeline project that the PM will inaugurate will be 356 km long. Spread from Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh to Panki in Kanpur, the project has been built at a cost of over Rs 1500 crore. The capacity of this pipeline project is about 34.5 lakh metric tonnes per annum. It will help in transporting petroleum products from Bina refinery in the region.
