PM Modi will give crores of rupees to Punjab after farmers’ agitation, Ferozepur becomes cantonment

New Delhi | Narendra Modi Punjab Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Punjab on Wednesday for the first time after a year-long farmers’ agitation in the country. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for development works worth more than Rs 42 thousand 750 crore in Ferozepur here. In such a situation, in view of the protest of the farmers, tight security arrangements have been made during the visit of the PM. About 10 thousand security personnel have been deployed in Ferozepur before the arrival of PM Modi.

NSG, Army and Border Security Force will handle security arrangements
Narendra Modi Punjab Visit: Let us tell you that this visit of the Prime Minister to Punjab is considered very important. PM Modi will reach Punjab after about two years. In view of the displeasure of the farmers due to the controversy over such agricultural laws, the security system in Punjab has been increased significantly. However, the agriculture laws have been withdrawn by the central government. Nevertheless, in view of the apprehension of farmers’ protest, the Punjab Police is also taking the help of NSG, Army and Border Security Force for tight security arrangements. An anti-drone team has also been deployed in security arrangements.

669 km long expressway will be ready at a cost of 39,500 crores
According to information received from the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway to facilitate the travel of Delhi to Amritsar and Delhi to Katra. This expressway will cut the travel time in half. The 669 km long Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway will be developed at a total cost of about Rs 39,500 crore. This expressway will connect the three states and union territories with major economic centres. Apart from this, the Amritsar-Una section will be upgraded to four-lane. The foundation stone of the new major railway line of Mukerian-Talwara will be laid.

Foundation stone laid for PGI Satellite Center and 2 Medical Colleges
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of PGI Satellite Center in Ferozepur and two medical colleges at Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur. Two medical colleges with a capacity of about 100 seats will come up at Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur at a cost of about Rs 325 crore.
