Himachal Education Minister called Kejriwal’s education model hollow, also mentioned about the vacant posts

Education Minister of Jai Ram Thakur government Govind Thakur said that Kejriwal government runs only 1036 schools whereas Himachal Pradesh has more than 15,000 government schools. Along with this, he mentioned about the vacant teachers’ posts in government schools of Delhi. The Education Minister said that 80 percent of the schools in Delhi do not have a principal or headmaster.

Shimla. Political parties have started preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, Education Minister Govind Thakur of Jai Ram Thakur government has termed the education model of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal as hollow. He said that Kejriwal’s claims are mere propaganda.

Teachers’ posts are vacant in Delhi

He said that the Kejriwal government runs only 1036 schools, while there are more than 15,000 government schools in Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, he mentioned about the vacant teachers’ posts in government schools of Delhi. The education minister said that 80 per cent of the schools in Delhi do not have a principal or headmaster and more than 24,000 posts of teachers are vacant.

Apart from this, the education minister claimed that there has been an 8 per cent reduction in admissions in Delhi government schools. The government has also been reprimanded by the High Court for not paying salaries to teachers in Delhi.

Govind Thakur has hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party’s claims that Delhi’s schools are world class, saying that Kejriwal’s son has appeared in the class 12th examination from Delhi Public School, Noida. Whereas Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has got his son enrolled in Amity School in Ghaziabad.

Under this, Arvind Kejriwal also held a rally in Himachal.
