Prashant Kishor celebrated Mukul Sangma

Kohima. After leaving Congress and joining Trinamool Congress, former Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has given the credit to election strategist Prashant Kishor. He said that he had met Prashant Kishor and it was because of him that he decided to go with Trinamool. It should be noted that on Wednesday night In Meghalaya, 12 Congress MLAs led by Mukul Sangma quit the party and joined the Trinamool.

In a press conference on Thursday, a day after leaving the party, Mukul Sangma told that he had met Prashant Kishor in Kolkata. He described Prashant Kishor as a good friend and said that he can bring change. Sangma also said that it all started after the Congress high command made Vincent Pala the party’s state unit president. It is worth noting that former Goa Chief Minister Luizinho Flairio, who left the Congress recently, had also said that Prashant Kishor prepared him to leave the Congress. Flairio is also said to be very effective in the developments in the Northeast.

However, Mukul Sangma said on Thursday – there should be balance in democracy. We need an effective opposition. He said- We shared this with the leadership in Delhi. We did many trips to Delhi, but nothing happened. Looking for an alternative to the opposition, I met my good friend Prashant Kishor ji who we all know can make a difference. Sangma said- I am very happy to share that when we interacted, we shared the same objective which is in the interest of the people.
