7,000 runs just an achievement, want to keep working hard: Kohli

Virat Kohli on Saturday became the first player in IPL (Indian Premier League) history to score 7000 runs but for the superstar batsman it is just ‘another’ milestone in his illustrious career. After achieving this feat, Kohli said that he wants to continue working hard with humility. Kohli hit his sixth half-century of the season at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground here. With his 46-ball 55, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 181 for four against Delhi Capitals.

Kohli, who started his cricket journey from this ground, told the IPL broadcasters, “7000 runs is just another milestone in the journey of what I am trying to do for my team. It is a good number when you try to do something for your team. Before this match, he had 6,988 runs in his name. Kohli said, “I want to continue working hard with humility.” Kohli’s family and his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma were present at the stadium to watch the match. He was seen touching the feet of his coach before the match. The former captain of the Indian team said, “It is a special moment… My family is here, my coach is here, cricket is a part of my life. I am honored to have a pavilion named after me here. I started my journey here and started playing for Delhi from here. “The 34-year-old right-handed batsman said,” I never thought about these achievements. I would like to thank you for all this.
