The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is preparing for the Asia Cup without Pakistan. This is a move that can have a bad effect on Pakistan cricket. Pakistan will be clearly told in the next ACC Executive Board meeting that all the other participating nations have agreed to play in Sri Lanka. PCB will have to consider playing in Sri Lanka or walk out.

ODI World Cup will have an impact

International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Greg Barclay and CEO Geoff Allardice are currently in Lahore seeking assurances from Pakistan to participate in the World Cup. India’s rejection of touring Pakistan and refusal to accept the hybrid model could lead to the PCB boycotting the ODI World Cup in India. A report states that the PCB has reportedly informed ICC officials that their participation in the World Cup depends on government clearance.
