The matter of property of the royal family of Jaipur started after the death of Jagat Singh in 1997. The property belonged to the former Maharaja of Jaipur Mansingh which he gave to his son Jagat Singh. Jagat Singh was the only son of Maharaja Mansingh and Gayatri Devi. But after the death of Jagat Singh in 1997, the matter reached the court. Jagat Singh was married to Priyanandana, born in the royal family of Thailand. But after some time of marriage, the relationship between both of them deteriorated. they got divorced. After the separation of Jagat Singh and Priyanandana, their children Devraj and Lalitya also started living with Priyanandana in Thailand.

During Priyanandana’s stay in Thailand, the Jaimahal Palace was taken over by Vijit Singh, son of Prithviraj Singh, son of Maharaj Mansingh’s second wife. After this, Priyanandana took refuge in the court to get the rights of her children in this property. The settlement has been concluded with the mediation of Justice Corian Joseph, a retired Supreme Court judge. According to the Supreme Agreement of the Royal Property Dispute, the former Maharaj Mansingh of the Jaipur royal family and the grandsons of the former Maharani Gayatri Devi, Devraj and granddaughter Lalitya, have been considered as the successors of the late Jagat Singh.

Under the agreement, Devraj and granddaughter Lalitya have got full rights of Jaimahal Palace. Jaimahal Palace is a five-star hotel located in the heart of Jaipur, which is run by the Tata Group as a five-star hotel. At the same time, all control has been taken back from Vijit Singh. He has been given some shares of this hotel. Incidentally, both the palaces are run by the Tata Group as five star hotels.

The palace was built in 1699 inside the Man Sagar Lake in the heart of the city of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Expanded the palace and lake of Raja Jai ​​Singh of Amer in the 18th century. It is built in the Rajput style of Rajasthan. On its eastern side is the Mansagar reservoir, on the banks of which the Nahargarh lion environment. Made of red sand and stone. Rajasthan, the councilor corporation has taken it on lease for 99 years along with repairing it, 100 acres of its surrounding area. Presently, Navratan Kothari is looking after the lake and the palace, which wants to build some more five-star hotels around it. The government and private institutions are working together due to spending more money. However, this project has created problems for sewage in Jaipur. A large amount of silt has to be removed from the lake, sufficient oxygen has to be arranged to keep the water of the lake clean.

This palace was built on 5th May 1956 by the then Maharaja Sawai Mansingh in the name of his younger son. Jagat Singh had given this property to the Tata group during his lifetime to run the hotel. It is necessary to remind here that after the divorce, Jagatsingh started living in London. In his absence Prithviraj Singh used to look after his property. But after the death of Jagatsingh in 1997, Prithvi Singh took the entire property under his control. He also evicted Devraj Singh and Lalitya from the property and by showing a succession letter they did not allow the company running the hotel to participate in any meeting. He made his son Vineet Singh’s wife Meenakshi the director of the hotel.

Maharani Gayatri Devi was the princess of Cooch Vihar. Gayatri Devi was married to Raja Mansingh II of Jaipur. She was known as Rajmata in Jaipur. After independence she joined Swatantra Party. She was very beautiful. In the Emergency, Indira Gandhi kept Maharani Gayatri Devi in ​​Delhi’s Tihar Jail for 5 months. Gayatri Devi won her first election on a Swatantra Party ticket. His victory was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. He then got 1.93 lakh votes out of 2.46 lakh votes.
