Jadeja second Indian to take 500 wickets and score 5,000 runs in international cricket

Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Wednesday became the second Indian cricketer after Kapil Dev to take 500 wickets and score 5000 runs in international cricket. He has scored 2619 runs in Test matches at an average of 36.88 including three centuries. He has 2447 runs in ODIs and 457 runs in T20 Internationals. India’s 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev was the first player from the country to achieve this feat.

He took 434 wickets in 131 Tests and 253 wickets in 225 ODIs, taking his total to 687 wickets in international cricket. Apart from this, Kapil scored 5248 runs in Test matches and 3783 runs in ODIs.
