Rafael Nadal in danger regarding ATP Finals, may be out due to second consecutive defeat

Turin. Rafael Nadal lost his second ATP Finals trophy tie to Felix Auger-Aliassime here on Tuesday, dashing his hopes of winning the title. Nadal has never won an ATP Finals title in 10 attempts. He was the runner-up in 2010 and 2013.

This was Nadal’s second defeat in two matches for the top seed. Canada’s Felix, who made his tournament debut, defeated him in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. It was only the second time in the 36-year-old Nadal’s career that he had lost four matches in a row, having lost at the US Open and Paris.

Fifth seed Felix managed to defeat Nadal for the first time in three attempts. Nadal was defeated by American eighth seed Taylor Fritz in his opening match on Sunday. Felix also suffered a loss in his first match against third seed Casper Rudd.
