The Prime Minister is following up the procedures for implementing sea water desalination projects

The steps and procedures for implementing seawater desalination projects, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister Housing for infrastructure affairs.


The Prime Minister began the meeting by noting that today’s meeting comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to maximize the benefit from the management of available water resources, especially with regard to desalination of sea water through the use of the latest technologies applied in this field, and to take advantage of Egypt’s marine coasts overlooking Bahrain. red and medium.


The Prime Minister pointed out that there are many major international companies specialized in desalination of sea water, which have begun to use modern technologies in this field, which contribute to the establishment and operation of seawater desalination plants, at a lower cost and high quality.


During the meeting, the Minister of Housing indicated that there are more than 60 companies that submitted offers to the Ministry to implement sea water desalination projects, explaining that among these companies are major international companies specialized in this field, and there are competitive prices offered by these companies, and these offers are currently being studied, up to for the better of them.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed to quickly reach the best offers submitted by companies specialized in the field of sea water desalination, in terms of financial and technical terms, so that the immediate start of the implementation of seawater desalination projects in accordance with the plan set by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities in this regard.
