Lucknow. Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Party President Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya met SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav today. Kunda MLA Raja Bhaiya, who was a minister in the Mulayam government, met Mulayam Singh at his residence. Before this meeting, Raja Bhaiya had spoken to SP President Akhilesh Yadav on the phone on Wednesday. Due to this move of Raja Bhaiya, the rumblings of the rise of another party in the clan of the growing political parties of SP have intensified. RajaBhaiya met Mulayam Singh
Barely a few months are left for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Samajwadi Party office and Akhilesh Yadav are becoming a strong base of opposition parties amidst the increasing political excitement in the state. Raja Bhaiya, who is considered to be a supporter of Hindutva politics in UP, meeting Mulayam Singh and talking to Akhilesh Yadav is believed to be proof of this. Before Raja Bhaiya, Union Minister Anupriya Patel’s mother Krishna Patel had met Akhilesh yesterday. Recently, RLD leader and MP from Mathura of UP Jayant Chaudhary and then AAP leader Sanjay Singh met SP National President Akhilesh Yadav. After this, all the political speculations are being made after Raja Bhaiya’s meeting with SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Raja Bhaiya, after meeting Mulayam Singh himself denied all these things and said that it was a formal meeting. He had sought time from Netaji and had come to wish him a happy birthday. Raja Bhaiya, after meeting Mulamay Singh, said that he had come to wish him a happy birthday. Netaji is our revered. On the question of alliance with SP, he said that he will do anything to stop BJP but there is no talk of alliance with SP yet. When the time comes, the alliance will also be discussed but today’s meeting has no political implications.
It is clear from the recent developments that the Samajwadi Party has come at the center of opposition politics at this time. SP has started fixing its nail thorns for the upcoming UP assembly elections. In this sequence, the SP is engaged in the exercise of forming the government by taking all the smaller parties and regional parties along. In such a situation, this meeting of Jansatta Dal President and Independent MLA Raja Bhaiya and Mulayam Singh Yadav remains a matter of discussion. Till some time back, all these leaders were trying to field single candidates for hundred seats in UP. Now the round of speculation has started regarding Raghuraj Pratap’s meeting with Mulayam. The discussions are intensifying that the chances of the Jansatta Dal forming an alliance with the SP have also increased. Some time ago Raja Bhaiya had announced that his party Jansatta Dal would contest 100 seats. Regarding the alliance with SP or any other party, he had said that he has not spoken to anyone yet.
Amidst the growing bitterness of Raja Bhaiya with the SP in recent years, many meanings are being drawn from his meeting with Mulayam. Samajwadi Party had allied with Bahujan Samaj Party during Lok Sabha elections 2019. Since then, there was bitterness in the relationship between Akhilesh Yadav and Raja Bhaiya. After that, during the 2019 Rajya Sabha elections, Akhilesh Yadav wanted Raja Bhaiya to vote for the BSP candidate because of the alliance. But against Mayawati, Raja Bhaiya gave his vote to the BJP candidate. Then it was believed that the closeness between Raja Bhaiya and BJP is increasing. Raja Bhaiya had recently confirmed this notion by announcing that he would not field a candidate against CM Yogi Adityanath. But now his meeting with Akhilesh Yadav proves that SP has now made a strong equation against BJP in the upcoming UP elections in which all parties want to join.
Raghuraj Pratap Singh has never been attached to any party in UP for his politics. History is witness to this. Raja Bhaiya, who has a domineering image, has been continuously elected MLA from Kunda since 1993. Raja Bhaiya defeated Janki Sharan of BJP by a margin of 1 Lakh 3 Thousand 647 votes in the 2017 Assembly elections. This victory was the second highest margin of votes in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Not only this, apart from his Kunda, he has been winning another seat of Pratapgarh as an independent for the last several years. Raja Bhaiya is considered to have great influence in Pratapgarh and Kaushambi districts. In Pratapgarh district panchayat also, Raja Bhaiya’s dominance has been maintained for years. His hold in Pratapgarh district can be gauged from the fact that in the recent Panchayat elections, even in the Yogi government, despite the activeness of all the BJP ministers, Raja Bhaiya put his candidate on the chair of the District Panchayat President. In such a situation, if Raja Bhaiya and SP come together, then the BJP can be cleared in Pratapgarh.
