Real Madrid beat Al Hilal to win the Club World Cup for the eighth time

Rabat. Vinicius Júnior scored twice and assisted Karim Benzema as Real Madrid beat Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal 5–3 in the Club World Cup final to improve on their own record eighth title. Federico Valverde scored the other two goals for European champions Real Madrid in Saturday’s final. Al Hilal’s side never took the lead in the match but proved that reaching the final was no fluke by defeating Brazilian club Flamengo.

Luciano Vito scored two goals while Mossa Marega scored one goal for the team in the final. Vinicius put Madrid ahead in the 13th minute and then scored the team’s fifth and final goal in the 69th minute. Earlier in Tangier, Flamengo beat Egyptian club Al Ahly 4-2 in the third-place match. Pedro and Gabriel Barbosa scored twice each for South American champions Flamengo. Ahmed Abdel Qadir scored both the goals for Al Ahli.
