Cricket World Cup 2023 is to be held in India at the end of the year. The schedule for this World Cup has been announced but till now there is no confirmation from Pakistan about playing in this World Cup. This year itself, the Asia Cup is to be organized before the World Cup, for which the dispute between the Pakistan Cricket Board and the BCCI is not stopping continuously.

 

BCCI has clearly said that it will not go to participate in the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan. In such a situation, it was decided to organize the Asia Cup on the hybrid model, which will be played in Sri Lanka. At the same time, the final match of the Ashika Cup will also be held in Sri Lanka. India will play all their matches here while other teams will play in Pakistan. However, Pakistan is not supporting the hybrid model.

 

At the same time, Pakistan is constantly putting obstacles regarding the arrival of the Pakistani team to India. On this matter, now the Pakistan Sports Minister said that if the Indian team does not come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup, then the Pakistan team will also not visit India for the World Cup. Pakistan’s Sports Minister Ahsan Mazari has said this in an interview given to Indian Express. He said that if India needs a neutral venue for the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan, then we will also play the World Cup at a neutral venue. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif has formed a committee to play in the World Cup to be hosted by India. This statement has been given by the Sports Minister after the formation of the committee.
