FIFA World Cup 2022: The role of experienced players is important in Croatia vs Belgium match

Doha. When the teams of Belgium and Croatia face each other in the important match of the Football World Cup on Thursday, the eyes will be on the experienced players of both the teams and there will be no scope to give more opportunities to the young players in this match. Croatia, who reached the final four years ago, and Belgium, who finished third in 2018, both rely heavily on their experienced players. Josko Guardiol, 20 years old, of Croatia and 25 years oldThe exceptions are Nikola Vlasic of K and 21-year-old Charles de Kettelier of Belgium.

Belgium midfielder Amadou Onana, 21, is suspended for two yellow cards and will miss the match. Croatia will have high hopes from the physical Guardiol, who plays as a center back in the team. Nikola, the younger brother of former world high jump champion Blanka Vlasic, usually plays as an attacking midfielder. Croatia, however, rely more heavily on Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic and Mateo Kovacic in midfield, with Vlasic being used as a winger.

Croatia played their first match to a goalless draw with Morocco and defeated Canada 4–1 in their next match. The Belgian team also relies heavily on experienced strikers Eden Hazard, Kevid De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. Croatia can make it to the last 16 with a win or a draw, while Belgium must win to ensure a place in the knockouts. Croatia and Morocco are the top two in Group F with four points each. Belgium has three points while Canada is out of the tournament having not even opened its account yet. If Canada beats Morocco, both Croatia and Belgium are likely to advance to the knockouts.
