Sangh Parivar: sidelined by Hindu interests

In taking political advantage of Hindu awakening, the Sangh-Parivar becomes the ‘leader’ – but on fighting occasions says ‘What are the temple priests doing?’ The Sangh-BJP know only one battle for themselves, the election. Apart from this, innocent or fugitive from every fight. Avoid even literal fighting. Rather, the Islamists and missionaries were being generously spilled! That too not just a token – but giving them solid money, resources, land, house, prestige, and rewards. Most of them are not even aware of how big a betrayal all this is against Hindu interests. Sangh Parivar hindu interests

There are many types of people in the Sangh Parivar. Many have been associated with Hindu sentiment and concern in it. But as one goes up in leadership, Hindu consciousness keeps on dwindling. This fact was noted decades ago by sages like Sitaram Goyal. The same situation is still there today.

In the words of Kunrad Elst, Sangh turns Hindu sentiments into political futility. (‘transforms a mass of pro-Hindu dedication into political uselessness.’). Conrad has been writing and speaking for decades in the interest of India, especially the Hindus. In their view, the Sangh does good social work. But a selfish feeling makes it useless. The guise of not sticking to Hindu interests makes social service. Basic interests are lost, which one does not care about. On the contrary, Hindus blame the society itself – as if a leaderless society fights its battle!

The Sangh-Parivar becomes the ‘leader’ only in taking political advantage of the Hindu awakening – but on fighting occasions it says ‘What are the temple priests doing?’ The Sangh-BJP know only one battle for themselves, the election.

On such occasions, Sangh supporters blame others, often Hindu religious institutions, for the failure. Do not even see that behind the helplessness of those religious institutions, there must be no political party fighting for Hindu interests here. The Sangh-Parivar has shied away from formal responsibility for Hindu interests by calling itself ‘nationalists’. In the signs, sometimes raising cow protection, sometimes Ram-mandir, etc. has been mainly with party intention. That is, taking the vote-support of Hindu society for your party. rather than sticking with his interests. This is the fundamental difference. Then on whom should Hindu religious institutions speak? The Sangh-BJP rulers remained silent on the attack on the ISKCON temple in Bangladesh, far from doing anything. The same thing happened in Kashmir, where temples were being demolished continuously since 1990. Even then the BJP was an indirect participant in the central power!

That is why instead of raising concrete issues of Hindu interest, the Sangh-BJP sometimes create superficial, farce things. Those who get exploited by the election, and don’t have to fight the real battle.

BJP leaders have also admitted that for them issues like Ram Mandir were related to electoral use. Otherwise, with the amount of power, resources, support the Sangh-Parivar gathered in the last decades, many works of Hindu interest were easily possible. Stop anti-Hindu work. But the Sangh-Parivar’s record in that has been zero, rather anti-Hindu.

For example, adding the word ‘secular’ in the preamble of the national constitution in 1977-78, making ‘minority commission’, spreading Hindu hatred in national education, etc. Prime Minister Morarji Desai had replied to Jana Sangh leader Balraj Madhok that if the Jana Sangh people in the cabinet had protested, that commission would not have been formed. Similarly, the formation of ‘Mandal Commission’, and later accepting its anti-Hindu report, both involved Jansandh-BJP. All these works proved to be mortally Hindu-Ghati. Islamic, missionary, leftist forces got extraordinary strength from them. Hindus were made second class citizens.

All that work was done not only by the inaction of the Sangh-BJP, but also by the support! They were not neutral either – note this. Even those who have mere Hindu consciousness would never do this. In a democratic politics, there are a hundred ways to avoid, stop the disliked work. Those methods are well known by BJP leaders. But use it for personal or party selfishness. Hindu-interest has not been on their mental radar!

That is why for decades his opposition to ‘Muslim appeasement’ was also his election maneuver. He never had the desire to stop that appeasement. Otherwise it could have been stopped. But where is the Sangh-BJP movement against any policy of appeasement? Or, a bill in Parliament? Look it up. He was not concerned with that. Occasional rhetoric on that was just a trick to sway Hindu resentment towards vote-support.

This is the reason, today the Sangh-BJP leaders are doing the same appeasement fiercely. Increasingly. Openly saying that ‘Congress only used Muslims, while we think of them as human beings’. That is, the Congress used to cheat them, but the BJP is giving goods and money. This is not a new situation, but a decades old mindset. In Kunrad’s unique book ‘Bharatiya Janata Party Vij-a-We Hindu Resurgence’ (1997), there is an analysis of the entire situation of the Sangh-Parivar. Anyone reading it can test it even today.

The Sangh-Parivar keeps talking of ‘nationalism’ instead of ‘Hindu interests’ under the guise of the same double-facedness. By keeping silence on Hindu interests, an exercise to woo Muslims by giving them special facilities and rights. It happened gradually. Doctor. Since the end of Hedgewar. After the Sangh formed its own party, the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the Sangh-Parivar gradually adopted all the Congress policies, ideas, even rhetoric. Tried to take a share in the Nehruvian legacy by cutting off the legacy of the Hindu Mahasabha. While participating in the very first general election (1957), the Jana Sangh claimed that they would “honestly” fulfill the ‘secular’, ‘socialist’ policies of the Congress.

That is, not in the policies, only the difference between the honesty of the Congress and the Jana Sangh remained! Since this was said openly, gradually even those Sanghi leaders who were aware of Hindu interests were on the sidelines. The rise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a Nehru-lover and a well-known friend of the Left, instead of Balraj Madhok was the result of that. All this was sold to gullible Sangh-workers’ supporters as ‘clever’. To this day they are kept under the illusion of similar cleverness.

This is exactly Gandhiji’s dramatic but deadly style. In which the followers used to drink silently, considering every ambush towards Hindu interests as a ‘strategy’. Which ultimately killed lakhs of Hindus suddenly. Gandhiji did not understand the need to even give notice to him. Today, is the Gandhi campaigning by the Sangh-BJP a sign of that direction? The betrayal that Gandhiji gave to the Hindus of Sindh, Punjab, Kashmir and Bengal, the same Sangh Parivar has given to thousands of Hindus in the rest of Kashmir and Bengal. Ask the suffering common Kashmiri, Bengali Hindus and see. To abuse them from hundreds of miles away, while staying safe, is like sprinkling salt on the burn. To consider such people to be Hindu protectors is like swallowing a live fly.
