Shadow of Corona over IPL 2023, BCCI’s statement amid increasing cases, will follow the rules

IPL is going to start from 31st March. In a way, while the fans are very excited about the IPL, the teams are also gearing up to clash with each other. Meanwhile, the cases of corona virus are increasing across the country due to which the problem has arisen.

With the 16th season of IPL, the corona virus has knocked. If we look at the data of the last few weeks, there is an increase in the cases of corona virus, due to which the problem is going to increase. 30 percent of Covid cases have been reported in many states.

Significantly, the first match of Corona virus will be played between Gujarat Giants and Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

BCCI took the decision
In view of the increasing cases of corona virus, BCCI has given instructions to strictly follow the rules of corona. BCCI is fully prepared to handle the crowd inside the stadium. BCCI will follow the guidelines of the government regarding this. According to media reports, all the rules issued by the Union Health Ministry and the State Governments will be followed. BCCI has instructed players, coaches, staff, stadium staff etc. of all teams to follow health and safety protocols as a precautionary measure.
 
BCCI did not make changes in Kovid policy
At the same time, BCCI has not made any changes in its Kovid policy. Under the rules of BCCI, a player infected with Kovid 19 will still have to follow the 7-day quarantine. According to the rules, the quarantine will have to remain until the player’s three consecutive tests are negative.
