Rebel actor Sharad Malhotra feels that even in 2022, women-centric shows will continue to be made, but many stories will also be male-centric.
They said, “Television content has become progressive. The fast-paced drama and storytelling have come alive. Producers will experiment with material in 2022 and it will be interesting for actors to get such opportunities.”
Giving the example of Anupama and her show Vidrohi, he says that love triangles are definitely there. They said, “Women-centric shows will continue, but many stories will also be male-centric.”
Now viewers have the option of OTT. When asked how television shows will bring viewers from OTT to TV, They said, “It is true that the audience has the option of OTT. It’s a healthy competition, but TV will never be out of fashion. TV is like ‘Dal Chawal’ and viewers cannot live without it. Television producers and channels are offering different types of content to the viewers, hence OTT and TV will continue to co-exist.”
According to him, the flavor of love and family dramas will continue in 2022 as people like to watch drama mixed with entertainment. They said, “As far as sports stories are concerned, people love to watch them on the big screen just like the movie 83.”
