German point guard Dennis Schroder says he has signed a one-year contract with the Boston Celtics , ending a year with the Los Angeles Lakers .

ESPN reports Schroder’s free agent deal with the Celtics was for an intermediate exception of $5.9 million, and that came after he turned down a four-year, $84 million contract extension offer from the Lakers in March to see if he could do better at the time. as a free agent.

The 27-year-old arrived in Los Angeles in exchange for the Oklahoma City Thunder before last season.

He averaged 15.4 points per game for the Lakers in a season. He missed two weeks at the end of the season due to the NBA’s Covid-19 health protocol.
