South’s film earned more than the budget in one day, 900% growth compared to the first day
‘Kantara’ is produced by Hombley Films, which has made films like ‘KGF’. The budget of the film is around Rs 16 crore and it has reached a profit of more than 930 percent at the box office. Kannada film ‘Kantara’ is doing tremendous business at the box office. Recently, the film had crossed the Rs 100 crore collection mark worldwide and now the film has crossed this figure in India alone. The interesting thing is that the film has created such a history of earning on the 17th day, which till date probably no film has been able to create. While the collections of films usually drop badly by the third week, ‘Kantara’ has jumped so high that even trade experts are surprised.

According to reports, the film, which released on 30 September, has achieved a growth of 900 percent, not 100 or 200 percent, as compared to the first day on the third Sunday. The film had collected around Rs 1.95 crore on the first day. At the same time, its collection on the 17th day was about 19.50 crores all over India. With this, the film’s total collection in India has reached around Rs 111.94 crore. At the same time, Worldwide it is on the way to cross the 200 crore mark.

On 30 September, ‘Kantara’ was released only in Kannada language. But seeing the success of the film, the makers released it in the third week on October 15 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages as well, where it is performing tremendously. Talking about worldwide collection, this film will cross Rs 150 crore today or tomorrow and will soon cross Rs 200 crore mark.

KGF’ franchise fame Vijay Kiragandur has produced this film under the banner of Homble Films. The film, made in a budget of about Rs 16 crore, is directed by Rishabh Shetty and he is also its writer. Apart from Rishabh, Kishore, Achyut Kumar, Pramod Shetty and Saptami Govda also have important roles in the film.
