Pakistan’s hopes turned upside down, BCCI made it clear, India has no plan to play bilateral series

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Najam Sethi has named three neutral venues that could host Pakistan and India for a Test series. Pakistan media reported today that PCB chairman Najam Sethi has given the go-ahead for a possible Pakistan-India Test series at a neutral venue. Now a statement has also come out from the Board of Control for Cricket in India regarding this. A BCCI source has clearly said that there is no plan for any such series in the coming days. The BCCI has also said that it is not ready to play any bilateral series with Pakistan.

In fact the bilateral series between India and Pakistan has not happened since 2012. Due to the bitterness in the relations between the two countries, it also affects the cricket relations. Both teams are face to face in ICC or big tournaments. Matches between India and Pakistan are great. People’s curiosity is also visible. Even in terms of revenue, India-Pakistan competition is considered very important. Amidst all this, the bitterness between India and Pakistan regarding the Asia Cup continues. The Asia Cup is hosted by Pakistan this time. But India has categorically refused to go to Pakistan. India says it is not visiting Pakistan due to security reasons.

Actually India is hosting the 50 over World Cup this year. Its preparations are currently in full swing in India. A hybrid formula was also given by Pakistan regarding the Asia Cup. It was said that the matches against India would be played in some other specific country and all other matches would be held in Pakistan. But it did not work out. Pakistan media today reported that PCB chairman Najam Sethi has given the go-ahead for a possible Pakistan-India Test series at a neutral venue.
