Patiala violence mastermind Parwana arrested by CIA from airport, what is the connection with farmers’ movement?

Barjinder Singh Parwana, the main accused in the clashes in Punjab’s Patiala, was brought from Mumbai at 7.20 am. As he disembarked from the Vistara flight at Mohali airport, he was arrested by the Patiala team of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) led by Inspector Shaminder Singh.

Three people, including Barjinder Singh Parwana, the main accused in the clashes in Punjab’s Patiala, have been arrested. The police gave this information on Sunday. The police have identified Parwana, a resident of Rajpura in the district, as one of the main conspirators of the Patiala violence. Police said that the accused was brought from Mumbai at 7.20 am. As he disembarked from the Vistara flight at Mohali airport, he was arrested by the Patiala team of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) led by Inspector Shaminder Singh.

Will be presented in court to take remand

Inspector General of Police (Patiala Range) Mukhwinder Singh Chinna said, “The main accused Barjinder Singh Parwana has been arrested from Mohali.” He said that Parwana would be produced before the court to take him on police remand. Chinna said that Harish Singla’s accomplice Shankar Bharadwaj and a person named Jaggi Pandit have also been arrested. Singla, the acting president of an organization called ‘Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray)’, has been arrested for taking out a procession without permission and inciting violence.

Barjinder Singh Parwana is a hardcore criminal. He was also involved in the farmers movement on the Delhi border. Parwana is one of the Sikh religious leaders of Punjab, who heads Damdami Taksal Jatha Rajpura. He is recognized as a leader giving inflammatory speeches.
