Suryakumar Yadav tops ICC batting rankings, Gill on career-best ranking
Dubai. India’s Suryakumar Yadav retained the top spot in the ICC T20 rankings for batsmen while Shubman Gill rose to a career-best 30th ranking. Surya is on top with 906 rating points. At the same time, Gill, who scored a century in the third match against New Zealand, is at the highest ranking of his career. Having scored centuries in all three formats of the game, Gill is sixth in ODIs and 62nd in Tests.
Virat Kohli dropped one place to 15th while KL Rahul dropped two places to 27th and skipper Rohit Sharma to 29th. Ishan Kishan has slipped three places to be at 48th position. There is no Indian in the top ten of the T20 bowling rankings. Left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has moved up eight places to reach a career-best 13th ranking. Bhuvneshwar Kumar dropped a place to be at 21st position.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Akshar Patel remain static at 29th and 30th positions respectively. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has moved from 50th among batsmen and 66th to 46th among bowlers. Among all-rounders, he is second only to Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan.
