Swiss bank gave the list of account holders to India, the mask will be removed from the face of those who hold black money

Now the mask will be removed from the faces of many people who have black money in Switzerland. Swiss banks have sent the fourth such list to the Government of India. On the request of the government, Swiss banks have once again released the list of Indian account holders. This is the fourth such list that India has got. It also includes accounts of many trusts and companies. The government has not made the list of these account holders public as it may adversely affect the investigation.

List of 34 lakh account holders released

According to the report, Switzerland has shared the list of 34 lakh account holders to 101 countries including India. These include accounts of hundreds of people from India as well. Switzerland’s Federal Tax Administration FTA said that India is among the few countries to which the list of account holders has been sent for the fourth consecutive year. The FTA said that this information was sent to all countries last month. Now the next such information will be sent in September 2023.

Details not sent to 27 countries

Swiss banks did not disclose the names and other information of 101 countries. But bank officials say that India is included in the list of countries receiving this information. 27 countries including Russia have not been given any information about their account holders. The reason for this has been told that some data was asked from those countries, but despite many reminders, they did not give those documents, due to which they could not be given that detail.

India got the first information in 2019

India got the first such list by Swiss banks in September 2019. For this, he, along with other countries, put pressure on the Swiss government. After which the Swiss government signed an agreement to automatically send the list of account holders to different countries every year. According to sources in the Government of India, getting such information from Swiss banks gives information about people depositing black money abroad. Along with this, it is also being able to know how much money and jewelery they have kept in Swiss banks.
