Swiss Open: Satwik-Chirag won the title by defeating the Chinese pair

Basel. India’s pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated China’s Ren Xiang Yu and Tan Qiang to win the Swiss Open Super 300 badminton men’s doubles title. The World Championship 2022 bronze medalist second seeded Indian pair defeated the world number 21 pair in 54 minutes to 21. 19, 24. 22 beat. This is the first title of the season for India. Only last week, the pair of Satwik and Chirag were eliminated in the second round of the All England Championship.

It was the fifth World Tour title for the Indian pair, who had also won the India Open and the French Open last year. Earlier, won the Thailand Open in 2019 and the Hyderabad Open in 2018. Satwik and Chirag had won gold medals in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
