T20 World Cup 2022: Team India’s big win against Netherlands, bowlers also showed power after batsmen

Team India defeated Netherlands by 57 runs in Group 2 match of T20 World Cup 2022. Batting first, the Indian team scored 179 runs in front of Netherlands with the help of half-centuries from Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav. Netherlands had to score 180 runs to win. But Netherlands team could score only 123 runs losing 9 wickets. With this victory, the Indian team has reached the top of Group 2. India currently has 4 points. At number two is the team of South Africa which has got 3 points. Talking about today’s match, captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. India did not have a good start and KL Rahul was dismissed for a very low score.

After KL Rahul, there was a good partnership between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring a half-century, while Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav batted vigorously to take the team’s score to 179 runs. In reply, Netherlands that you could only score so many runs. The first blow to the Netherlands was given by Bhuvneshwar Kumar when he bowled Vikramjit Singh. New Zealand’s score at that time was 11. After that the wickets of Netherlands kept falling one after the other. Spin bowlers Axar Patel and R Ashwin, included in the Indian team, bowled brilliantly. Akshar took two wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs. The same Ashwin gave 21 runs in 4 overs and got two successes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 2 wickets for 9 runs in 3 overs.

Skipper Rohit set the course for the Indian innings with a 39-ball 53 while Kohli, who scored a seemingly impossible victory against Pakistan, scored an unbeaten 62 off 44 balls. Kohli added 73 runs for the second wicket with Rohit and 95 runs with Surya in an unbroken third wicket partnership. After ten overs, India’s score was 67 for one, after which Surya came and terrorized the Dutch bowlers. India scored 112 runs in the next ten overs. Surya played some great shots at extra cover and deep fine leg. His innings with seven fours and a six showed why he is India’s number one batsman in this format. After Rohit’s dismissal, Kohli took charge and completed his fifty in 37 balls which included three fours and two sixes. After the arrival of Surya, both of them presented a terrific example of explosive batting.
