T20 World Cup: In a thrilling match, Pakistan set a target of 160 runs for India, Arshdeep-Pandya’s brilliant bowling

The match between India and Pakistan being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground seems to be spectacular. Winning the toss, inviting Pakistan to bat first resulted in India’s favour. Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly and restricted the Pakistan team to 159 runs. India got a target of 160 runs. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who are considered to be the backbone of the Pakistan team, were dismissed cheaply today. Babar Azam became the victim of Arshdeep Singh on his very first ball. The same, Arshdeep also sent Mohammad Rizwan to the pavilion on the score of just 4 runs. There was a good partnership between Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed for the third wicket.

At one point both the batsmen were looking deadly. Scored runs against the spinners but Mohammed Shami dismissed Iftikhar Ahmed for 51. Iftikhar Ahmed scored 51 runs in 34 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 2 fours. After this Pakistan’s middle order completely faltered. Sharad Khan became the victim of Hardik Pandya on the score of 5 runs. At the same time, Haider Ali was also dismissed by Hardik Pandya for just 2 runs. Mohammad Nawaz also fell victim to Hardik Pandya for 9 runs while Asif Ali was dismissed for just 2 runs in Arshdeep.

Shan Masood was holding a left. He played an innings of 52 runs in 42 balls which included 4 fours. Shaheen Afridi made 16 runs in just 8 balls while batting well in the last. Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets for 32 runs in 4 overs for India. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya took three wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs. One wicket each went to Bhuvneshwar and Mohammed Shami.
