T20 World Cup: Injured David Malan doubtful of playing semi-final against India

England batsman David Malan is in doubt of the T20 World Cup semi-final against India due to injury. Malan sustained the injury during Saturday’s four-wicket win against Sri Lanka. The former world number one T20 batsman had to leave the field during the Sri Lankan innings and could not return to bat.

Vice-captain Moeen Ali said that Malan’s injury was not good. “He is a big player and has been playing for a long time. He is one of our best players but his injury is not feeling well.” England are scheduled to play India in the semi-finals on Thursday. Ali said, “It is special to play against India in any part of the world because he is a big force in cricket and his fans are innumerable.
