Table Tennis tournament: Goa to host World Table Tennis Series tournament for the first time in India

Panaji. For the first time in India, the World Table Tennis (WTT) Series tournament will be held here in Goa from February 27 to March 5. This was announced on Thursday. The top-tier WTT Star Contenders Goa 2023 tournament will be held at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, located on the Goa University campus here. “We are happy that for the first time in India, Goa has been chosen as the host of the WTT competition,” State Tourism Minister Rohan Khonte said at a press conference.

He said, “Goa is the biggest tourism hub of the country and I welcome WTT to us as they have announced WTT Contenders Goa 2023 as the first tournament in the WTT calendar.” Stupa Analytics with the support of the Government of Goa will host the tournament.
