The second Test match between India and Bangladesh is being played in Dhaka today. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bat first. The first day’s play is over. By the end of the first day’s play, India were 19 for no wicket in reply to Bangladesh’s 227. Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh team managed to score 227 runs thanks to a struggling batting. Bangladesh suffered the first blow when Zakir Hasan was caught by captain KL Rahul by Jaydev Unadkat for 39 runs. After this Bangladesh’s wicket kept falling at regular intervals. Mominul Haque has scored the most runs for Bangladesh.

Batting at number three, Mominul Haque scored an innings of 84 runs in 157 balls which included 12 fours and 1 six. He was caught out by Ravichandran Ashwin at the hands of Rishabh Pant. Talking about Bangladesh, captain Shakib Al Hasan played an inning of 16 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim scored 26 runs, while Liton Das played an inning of 25 runs. Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin got 4-4 successes from India. Umesh Yadav bowled 4 maidens in 15 overs and achieved four successes for 25 runs. Talking about Ravichandran Ashwin, he took 4 wickets for 78 runs in 21.5 overs. Two successes were achieved by Jaydev Unadkat, who is returning to Test cricket after 12 years.

Unadkat created a unique record as soon as he took the field in the second Test cricket match against Bangladesh. He has become the Indian cricketer who has been ruled out of most Test matches. Unadkat made his Test debut 12 years ago on 16 December 2010 against South Africa at Centurion. After this, now he returned to the team after being out of 118 Test matches. This is a record from India, while in world cricket, he has come second in the list of players who have been out of most Test matches. The record is in the name of England’s Gareth Batty, who had to wait 142 matches between two Test matches.
