Azam Khan and his son jailed for two years
Moradabad. The Special MP/MLA Court in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, has convicted senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan in a 2008 case. On January 29, 2008, a case was registered against Azam Khan, his son and seven others at Chhajlet police station in Moradabad district after they staged a road protest against the police checking of Azam Khan’s car. Police arrested SP leader Mehboob Ali, Haji Ikram Qureshi, Paras Jain, D.P. A case was registered against nine people including Yadav and Rajesh Yadav. (IANS)
