Chhattisgarh: 78 paise on petrol and Rs 1.47 on diesel

Raipur, After announcing that the prices of petrol and diesel would be kept lower than the neighboring states, the Chhattisgarh government on Monday cut VAT. The decision was taken in a meeting of the State Council of Ministers presided over by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The government has cut VAT by 1% on petrol and 2% on diesel. Its effect will be that petrol will become cheaper by 78 paise and diesel by Rs 1.47 in the state.

Taking a big decision in the interest of the general public, it was decided to cut the prices of petrol and diesel in the meeting of the Council of Ministers. Under which it was decided to reduce VAT by two percent in diesel and one percent on VAT in petrol. Due to this, there will be a loss of revenue of about one thousand crore rupees to the state government. Giving a big relief to the education workers, the provision of promotion in the teacher cadre was relaxed in the meeting of the Council of Ministers. Under which it was decided to give promotion on the basis of 3 years experience, relaxing the experience of 5 years as provided in the departmental recruitment rules for promotion to the posts of head reader, primary school, teacher and lecturer.

While the merged education workers will get the benefit of their service period, they will be able to get promoted, while the children will get the benefit of their teaching experience. Under the School Education Department, it was decided to conduct the classes of government and private schools of the state regularly with full attendance following the entire Kovid-19 protocol.
