Delhi recorded minimum temperature of 24.9 degree Celsius, heat wave expected from 28

Delhi on Tuesday recorded a minimum temperature of 24.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature is expected to be around 42 degrees Celsius. The brief humidity level at 8.30 am was 37 per cent, the department said.

The department official said that the sky will be mainly clear during the day. According to the data of weather information agency ‘SAFAR’, the air quality in Delhi remained in the medium category.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) was 233 at 9 am. AQI between zero to 50 ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 considered ‘serious’. The IMD said that there is no possibility of heatwave in Delhi for the next few days but the possibility of heat wave conditions has been expressed in the national capital from April 28 for which a ‘yellow alert’ has been issued.
