Maranhense Football Federation announces new dates for the preliminary phase of Série B do Maranhense
Opening game takes place behind closed doors in the municipality of Paço do Lumiar
The Maranhense Football Federation (FMF) released this Wednesday afternoon the new dates for the preliminary phase of the Série B of Maranhense. After some postponements, the competition will kick off next Tuesday, August 29th.
According to the document released by the FMF, the opening game of the competition will be at the Charles Muller Arena, in Paço do Lumiar-MA, at 9:30 am, with the duel between Santa Quitéria and São Luís. the inclusion of the two best ranked in the next phase of the competition
Two other matches are scheduled for the 1st and 4th of September: São Luís x Expressinho and Expressinho x Santa Quitéria – both games at 9:30 am. The FMF also points out that matches at the Charles Muller Arena will be held behind closed doors.
The return matches of the clashes, as foreseen in the regulation of the competition, should take place on the 7th, 10th and 13th of September, in places to be confirmed. Meanwhile, Imperatriz, Timon, Tupan, ITZ Sport, Bacabal and Tuntum are waiting for the two best ranked in this triangle, for the start of the first phase of Série B in Maranhense.
